Yara at the Pound

In May 2024, Alisha received her first sting from a stingray. After bringing herself home and sitting in a tub of warm water for a few hours to help dull the pain, she spent a couple weeks out of the water while the wound healed (and maybe because she was a little scared). During this time away from surfing, she came to realize she missed having the comfort and companionship of a dog. After a few visits to different dog pounds, we met Yara (at that time going by her alias Sue). She won us over immediately.
